NorthApprenticeshipART - Artist Readiness Training ProgramProgram goals: 1) Empower young people to create, develop and produce works of visual and performance art at a professional community venue; 2) Expose teens to arts opportunities and establish access for them; 3) Introduce young people to an accessible job experience which allows them to build soft skills needed to succeed in the workplace, 4) expose youth to the professional performative arts; 5) and have youth perform and/or show their work outside of ART during open-mic/semi-professional venues. During the ten-week sessions the teens prepare and present a culmination of all their performance and visual artwork at a professional venue. The teens present a final production of original pieces that they have developed in small groups.Spring 2016ActiveGalleryPerformance ArtsTheatreART: Artist Readiness Training Program (Advanced Apprenticeship, 15, Apprenticeship, 15, class of 30 total). The Artist Readiness Training Program exposes teens to the art of earning a living as an artist while developing job skills that transfer to any profession. Teens may earn up to $325 as an Apprentice.
